38th Annual Mt. Diablo Challenge

In Memory of Joe Shami

We are pleased to announce that the Mt. Diablo Challenge was held on Sunday, October 3, 2021 and is dedicated to 86-year-young cyclist, Joe Shami (photo right). His love of Mt. Diablo led him to climb it 615 consecutive weeks. It also led to his nickname "The Legend of Mt. Diablo."  While we may have lost Joe this year, he will continue to serve as an inspiration to cyclists for years to come.
